Hello Everyone, welcome to My Blog. This blog has been a long time in the making, and after overthinking it for far too long, I finally decided it was time to just take the leap and hit publish.
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Presley. I’m an Army veteran who now calls Los Angeles home. I moved here after getting out of the military.
This blog is a place where I’ll be sharing bits and pieces of my journey—everything from personal reflections to my day-to-day life in LA. I’m not a writer by trade, but I’ve always had a way of documenting the things that matter to me. Whether it’s through photos, videos, or just putting pen to paper, I’ve found that capturing moments has helped me make sense of the experiences that have shaped me.
Life after the military isn’t always easy. Transitioning from a structured, high-pressure environment to civilian life has its challenges. But I’ve also discovered a lot of things along the way—about myself, about the world, and about what I really want moving forward. The struggle of fitting back in, the excitement of new opportunities, and the quiet moments of reflection have all made their way into this blog.
The decision to start writing here wasn’t a big one. It felt natural. This blog is a way for me to reflect on where I’ve been, where I am, and where I’m going. It’s a space to share lessons, insights, and maybe even a bit of humor along the way. I’ll be talking about everything from adjusting to life in LA, to navigating the ups and downs of post-service life, to the small things that keep me grounded.
I don’t know exactly where this blog will go, but that’s part of the journey, right? I just know that it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while now. And if even one person finds something relatable or useful in what I share, that’s enough for me.
Thanks for taking the time to check this out. I’m looking forward to sharing more, and I hope this space gives you a little insight into who I am and what I’m about.
Catch you the next one,
Presley
